Afterburner Seminars are the new economy's hottest corporate training company led by 45 of America's elite U.S. men and women fighter pilots.
The Afterburner Team of top fighter pilot facilitators, trainers and speakers travel the globe helping to prepare tens of thousands of business professionals for today's rapidly changing environment. Their clients have been trained how to handle TASK SATURATION and their comments reveal why they are so successful at energizing employees to adopt fighter pilot techniques to win and sustain market opportunities. They believe in VICTORY THROUGH BUSINESS EXECUTION. They offer half-day and full-day programs, fighter pilot keynote speakers and a corporate coaching program to fit the needs of any organization.
AFTERBURNER SEMINAR - DAY 1
The most popular, hands-on Afterburner seminar for corporate management and sales, they’ll show you how the tools employed by American fighter pilots can help you plan, execute and win in today’s fast-paced world of business. Using a multimedia presentation, a role-playing breakout session with experienced military fighter pilots as facilitators -- and a riveting final hour that some say is the best in the business – the Afterburner Seminar team takes those tools and seamlessly translates them into your own business environment. Their message? Brief. Execute. Debrief. Win.
The Afterburner Day is an interactive, hands-on experience where your team will compare the similar situations faced in business and in air combat. During the Afterburner Day, your group will work side-by-side with some of America's top Fighter Pilots and learn how they excel in the business of combat. Then your "Fight Pilots" will apply these "real world" lessons directly to your business.
Your day begins in the main briefing room where you will learn how Fighter Pilots adapt to change, assess risk, and prepare for their mission using the Six Steps to Effective Combat Mission Planning. Suddenly, an urgent telegram will interrupt the briefing and alert your team that they have been attacked by a coalition of hostile competitors. Your Fighter Pilots will split into squadrons (breakout groups of 15) where, with the help of their Afterburner facilitator, they will have one hour to formulate a plan to regain your market share.
Leadership, teamwork, and communication will allow each group to overcome the challenges of this dynamic Mission Planning Exercise. You’ll use SCUD missile attacks, intruders, and information overload to closely parallel today's saturating work environment in a fun, new format that ensures a lasting impression.
After utilizing these tools for planning a execution, your team will discover how Fighter Pilots learn from their mistakes through an effective debrief. The nameless/rankless debriefs shed new light on how your associates can identify and learn from costly mistakes.
AFTERBURBER SEMINAR - DAY 2
Once your team has absorbed and applied the lessons of their first day with Afterburner Seminars, it is time for them to leap back into battle with Afterburner II. During their second session, the fighter pilots will demonstrate that simply developing a great plan will not save your hide in battle. Your Top Guns will learn to translate a plan into flawless execution in the most task saturating, high demand environment that can be created!
On any given day, in any fighter squadron across the country, men and women climb into their jet aircraft prepared to do battle. They have been well trained. Their job knowledge is unquestionable. They are extremely motivated. The mission runs flawlessly and an important target is destroyed exactly as planned. The key words here are "exactly as planned." You’re talking about flawless execution, a stumbling point for many businesses today.
Why do the highly talented and motivated team members of so many businesses with a great plan fall short when it comes to execution? It is because the plan is not properly communicated to the men and women who must take the battle to the competition. Through combat testing, fighter pilots have developed a life-saving/mission perfecting formula for communicating the plan which is called "Briefing to Win!" This lesson is facilitated in an attention-riveting, real time simulation of a complex air battle.
Your team members will jump into a simulated jet and assume the roles of fighter wingmen in combat. The fighter pilots will expose your team to the fog of war and then teach them how to burn through the fog using precise briefing and communication techniques.
Once your team has "aced" their mission, you will move to a real world case study tailored to your business. Armed with the strategies and tactics just learned from their air combat simulation, your team members will develop and deliver a tactical briefing based upon your company’s mission objective. The fighter pilots will guide the "briefer" and the audience through an immediate and positive debriefing for maximum learning. This Execute/Debrief phase employs the same techniques that were stressed in your first Afterburner day.
Afterburner II is safe, comfortable, tremendous fun, a real wake-up call for even the most highly skilled warriors in your company. Teamwork, discipline, communication, leadership, and focus on attention to detail are the driving forces behind the impact and success of Afterburner II.
CORPORATE WINGMAN PROGRAM - Certified Corporate Coaches
You know one of the secrets to a fighter pilot’s success -- it's called ‘never leave your wingman’. Now you’ll hear another — fighter pilots are never alone. How’s that? During a mission, someone’s always talking to the pilots… helping them… giving them directions and standing-by to get them through tough problems. Why should it be any different for you? The Corporate Wingman program gives you confidential access to Certified Corporate Coaches, all former military fighter pilots, for advice, ideas and fresh perspectives -- all without the entanglements of your own corporate world.
